Bio

Tomasz Szerszeń (1981) – visual artist, photographer, anthropologist and art historian.

Graduate of Photography Department in Film School in Łódź and Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities at the Warsaw University, PhD. Member of the editorial staff of the “View. Theories and Practices of Visual Culture” and “Konteksty” quarterly, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Art, Polish Academy of Sciences.

In his artistic projects he concentrates on afterlife of images, potential histories, margins of (art) history, anthropological motives in art, but also relation between photography and literature, image and word.

Lives and works in Warsaw. He is represented by Galeria Asymetria in Warsaw.
